{A couple of Holiday pics}

We were finally able to take advantage of living in Australia! We traveled to Cairns for a preChristmas get away. We visited the Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda, and just hung around town. If you are ever in the south Pacific, the Great Barrier Reef is a MUST see and do! It was an amazing trip. The color of the water was an amazing blue green, the fish were so friendly, and the tour guides were amazing! I have heaps more pictures, be on the lookout for a slideshow! :)

{BOUNCE}

This lay out was a weekly sketch challenge at SF. I really like the way it turned out. I used American Crafts pp with matching bazzills. The title is made out of LoriMart letters, she is a fantastic Ebayer with reasonable prices on chipboard letters. Her Ebay id is lordan37 check her out! :) Anywho, on the letters I painted them with acrylic paint and stickled them with clear starburst stickles. The shaped green paper was cut with my Fiskars treading water punch, thanks again Julie! I also used large Primas and I stickled the brad in the center. And there is a lttle bit of sewing around the pp.

The pictures were taken at the Hall Markets here. Everytime we go, Kaylee has to play in the jump house, ride the pony, or ride on the merry go round. We could spend all morning just at the kiddie ride end of the market.

{Turkey time, kit}

I haven't made a kit in a while, I feel like I am kind of a rut with them, but I do like the way this one turned out. I used DCWV papers with matching Bazzill papers. The title was cut with my wishblade and everything had been inked and stitched. I also stamped and stickled on most of the items. It is hard to make pretty Fall things when it is Spring here!

{Christmas Calendar time}

This year I decided to make a digi calendar. I got the template from The Shabby Shoppe. All I had to do is down load, add pics, layer everything, then take to the nearest photo printing station. I mounted them on chipboard and bound them with my bind it all. Two gifts down, many more to go!

{Christmas Cards take 2!}

And here is the second set of Christmas cards. Well I think there is one birthday card in the midst!

Once again I used mostly DCWV papers and matching cardstocks! :)

{Christmas Cards}

Here are some of the creations I came up with for an online crop. I just love the way they turned out. I used American Crafts pp, matching Bazzills, Making Memories chip greetings, and various flowers.

10 cards made out of one sheet of patterned paper is amazing!

{Christmas Candy dish}

Here is a candy dish that I made for a friend of mine. It is constructed out of Bazzill and the pp's are from the DCWV Christmas stack last year. Everything is inked with olive chalk ink. My only hope is that it arrives to Canada in time! *giggle*

Maybe I should whip up another one for the School holiday fair next weekend?

{Digitally created Calendar}

October was a crazy month and I have sooo much to add! I have been very busy making gifts for family, and I have two done! WOOT! These are digitally created calendars that are for my MIL and Dh's grandmother. I am waiting on photos to finish the ones for my mom.

{Advent Calendar Swap}

These litte trinkets were so fun to make. I used red, green, and white Bazzills, American Crafts pp, and various embellies from my stash. I am really excited to get this swap back, it will be fun to see what all my swap mates came up with. Now to get started on my blue and silver string! :)

{Hawaii Blankie}

I started sewing way before I was introduced to paper crafts. I love making baby blankets. Here is my latest creation. I used Hawaii themed fleece and I bound it with silky black binding. The binding is a pain to work with, but once you get the tension right on your machine, it sews smoothly. It was a gift for one of our friends and they loved it! :)

{Heartfelt Thanks!}

This card is made from a sketch for World Card Making Day. I used scraps out of my stash, inked everything, and stickled everything I could! The stamp is from See-d's. The embossed paper is one of the new Cuttlebug boarders. :)

{You are the Best}

More of the DCWV B&W pp's. This one was for a B&W challenge. I used Primas and a Doodlebug sugar coated brad for the center, the sentiment is from American Crafts as well as the rub on flower. I also used my Fiskars punch again {Love it!}.

{HI}

This was a scraplift for a challenge. I wasn't sure about the 3 pp's but I think I pulled it all together. I am loving my new Fiskars punch! {Thanks Julie!} DCWV pp's with rouge chalk ink. The letters are from LoriMart, then I inked and stickled them. The blooms are Kaiser and one Prima, along with black rhinestone centers from Kaiser.

Sunday, August 31, 2008

My two favorite colors, brown & blue. Just a simple clean look. I used DCWV pp's with matching bazzill. The flowers again are primas, and every piece of paper is inked with dark brown chalk ink.

2009 Calendar

I just love making these. The best part about them is that it slips right into a CD case and sites right on top of your desk. When I talked to my mom the other day she requested a calendar, so off I went to locate the file. This one is made out of scraps and I used my nesties with color rub to amplify the embossed edge. I see many more to come from this one!

Cards of mine....

Just some various cards I have made int he past few weeks. I haven't had time to upload anything! DCWV Nana's Nursery pp with matching bazzill. I used various Primas and some colored dew drops on the ribbon area.

{Giddy-Up}

This has got to be one of my most favorite lay outs I have done. The pictures were taken in Aberdeen, SD at Story Time Park- so much fun! As you can tell I am a little behind in scrapping, but aren't we all? I used Bazzill papers and inks, I love adding a scalloped edge with my corner rounder. The font is cut out of Karen Foster adhesive cork and the horseshoe was cut with my wishblade. I am also loving the kaiser products I can find here. The blooms are magnificent and perfect size so are the rinestones!

Wow, It has been a long time!

I have tons of stuff to share, hopefully I will find the time this week to get it all uploaded!

I have completely rearranged my crop room, yet again. Lucas is working on the lappy for me so I can use my wishblade and all of the digi stuff I have downloaded from my own office! {YAY!} Yes, I did say digi- my new adventure! *giggle*

Pink Kisses Party

Gotta love PINK! This layout is from a birthday party Kaylee went to in April. It was such a cute birthday party and all of the little girls love it! :)

I used Junkitz papers with matching Bazzills, inked and stitched in purple. The flowers are Petaloo and the swirls are Queen & Co.

The Pancake Parlour

I LOVE this LO! I used Basic Grey with some of its included adhesive shapes and letters. Lucas took me out for my 30th birthday to one of the neatest places here. The food was excelent and afterwards we took a guided tour of the Australian Parliment House. That willl be antoher LO, of course!

My updated scrapping area!

I think I am finally organized! I got this new desk with matching dresser for free off Craigslist! I LOVE it! I more than tripled my desk space!
This is where I do most of my scrapbooking. I have the embellishments I use most right front and center along with my much needed lap top and sewing machine right at arms reach. Then there is my cutting tools, papers, an more embellishments! :)

Kaylee getting her award

Little Miss Kaylee got an award at school for always trying her hardest with her work! This is her with Mr. Yarrington, the Principal. She was sooo excited when her name was called she ran off the stage to the podium! I wish I had a video camera! :) School holidays are quickly approaching, I wish we had somewhere to go. What in the world am I going to do with her home for 2 weeks? School holidays are not usually that bad, but this one falls during the winter... Blah, hopefully it is not too rainy so we can play outside!

Sending my love card

Another stamped cards for a friend made out of scraps. I think I need some of these monkey stamps! :)

Fathers Day card

DCWV papers with matching Bazzills. The stamp is from Inque Botique with chalk ink in brown. This is the card Kaylee and I made for Lucas.

Thinking of you card

I used some Making Memories pp's with matching Bazzill for the card base. The Stamped image is from Autumn Leaves. I am not sure who makes the sentiment. I embellished with chalk ink, ribbon, Primas, and liquid pearls. This card is going to one of my friends who is dealing with a tough time right now.

Another page kit

Another page kit for a friend! Mickey papers from EK Success and matching Bazzill. Everything is inked and stitched. Embellished with Primas and ribbons. I am almost caught up with my outgoing commitments, then I can start on my own pages! Yahoo!

Happy Father's Day!

Yes, it is that time of year again! Lucas is such a great father and husband. Today is the American version of Fathers Day, the Aussies celebrate some time in September. Of coure Lucas *thinks* he gets to celebrate both, lol!

I miss my dad. I wish I could be there to give him his gift and the card that Kaylee wrote and drew in. Such is life living overseas.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

A pagekit for a friend

Just a little something I made for a friend today! The pagekit consists of a title, a photo mat, a matchbook, a tag, and an altered coaster. I don't make kits often enough, but I really had fun with this one. Now to make a few cards out of the scraps!

Yes, it is winter in Australia!

Here is a quick peek of what Kaylee and I have been making- scarves! I got her the Singer Knitting machine and we- ok, well I have been knitting while she sits and watches me. :)
{Don't mind the messy hair!}

My Scrap Area

Since I have a clean room, I thought I would share my collection! This photo on the left is my cutting & sewing stations.

And the next pic is my workspace, which may change if I get a new desk that was offered on Craigslist! {YAY}

Then there is the res of my workspace and embellies on the floor categorized and sorted. Both of my paper sorters are FULL- I think I need another!

This is where I try to organize my paints, threads, stickles, stamps, pictures, and outgoing mail.

This is my favorite area. I love dew drops, blooms, inks, and the little piggies I got at the market... *giggle*

Here is one of the LO's that I made for my best friend, Heather. I just finished this yesterday, and I need to get it packaged up and ready to be mailed. The pp's are Sass-a-Frass and I matched them up with Bazzill. Most everything is stitched and absolutely everything is inked. I used a map from Page Maps for reference. I have a few more things I need to make to have her package complete for mailing! Hugs Heather, I miss you girl!

A card portfolio with 4 cards

This is just a little something I made yesterday- A card portfolio with 4 matching cards. The pp's are from making Memories and I used different Studio G stamps for the sentiments. Yes, I mainly scrap girly, so I am sure you will see a lot nore of pretty, foo fooish things on this blog! *wink, wink* I love to embellish with inks and stickles. I also enjoy making gifts for others.

~ I am new to blogging! ~

Something came across me and I decided to start a blog. Living overseas makes it hard to communicate with everyone back in the USA, so I decided to start a blog, not only for my crafting, but for my family and friends as well. So here it goes!
